Global PMC Dispenser Network Coordinator

GLOBAL DISPENSER NETWORK COODINATOR, Protective and Marine Coatings 

As the Global Dispenser Network Coordinator, you will lead the Global PMC Dispenser Network to delivery consistent color by providing expertise, training, field support, and exceptional customer services in the effective investigation and resolution of all customer-tinting concerns for PMC Global. In this role you will enable a “first-time-right” colour dispensing culture at PMC dispenser locations globally by coordinating all activities related to maintaining a standardized dispensing network infrastructure. In addition, you will be the PMC business representative to all the relevant background supporting functions to the equipment and software. 

Covering all internal and external customers, across all our brands and channels of business you will be pro-active and drive training & service improvements together with sales and marketing, as well as lead initiatives/projects, that support Knowledge, Productivity and Growth for the business in the wider region and contribute towards all PMC dispensers related projects. 

Within your scope you will have to design, plan, establish and develop value added and “best in class” support to PMC Global with, short, medium and long-term improvement objectives – work with colleagues in the region to leverage our size and skills in tinting, to differentiate our tinting offer, create synergies and deliver efficiencies.   

Lastly you will deliver optimal hardware & software tinting solutions for PMC global through technical collaborations with experts from various departments and suppliers (R&D color lab, Color services, Product Management). 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:  

Primary Function: Provide Technical Support – Dispensing Equipment and Software PMC Globally 

• Drive global new equipment orders of either internal PPG sites or external customers from initial request phase to complete supply, delivery, installation, and operation; these include new orders for dispenser machines, shakers, printers, computers, spare parts, etc. 

• Coordinate PMC business requests: Promote and continuously assign all technical requests related to equipment, software, or colorants to the designated relevant shared mailbox/responsible and follow up/resolve where there are bottlenecks 

• Provide technical troubleshoot support in case of malfunction or breakdown of equipment and software in collaboration with Color Services Amsterdam and using the Dispenser Manual or technical “How To” guides  

• Coordinate the preparation for- and implementation of the bi-annual Software Updates and tracking of update adoption and maintain update status overview of the network 

• Advise and quote internal PPG warehouses and customers on the appropriate dispenser and shaker solutions with regards to new enquiries or orders by the hand of our standard PMC Dispenser Offer and Color Services 

• Drive and advocate a global preventative maintenance initiative and annual training initiative

Secondary Functions: Color Database and Administrative Duties 

Provide Colour Database Support - Software Color Database 

• R&D Support - (Color Lab and Product R&D) 

• Color formulation requests: Promote and continuously assign all new formulation requests to the designated mailbox of the color lab and follow up where there are bottlenecks 

• Color formulation database: Be up to date with any changes to color database made by the color lab through monthly meetings and include these in the bi-annual software update. 

• Participate in product innovation or cost saving initiatives related to dispensing equipment, colorants or other 

• Product Assortment Support - (Product Management) 

• Product introductions and deletions: Be up to date with any changes to the product database through regular meetings made by product management and include these in the bi-annual software update.  

Administrative Support & Other Activities 

• Own and Maintain New Order Dashboard, Dispenser Location Database, Color Matrix Software File and of digital materials such as the annual dispenser offer, dispenser manuals and Dispenser How To guides 

• Complaint Support: Be aware of complaints related to color through schedule monthly meetings and action accordingly with the correct responsible person where related to dispenser malfunction, colorant quality, incorrect tinting procedure or incorrect color formulation 

• Factory Support: Provide support to the factories in the area of in plant tinting or when requested 

• Finance Support: Collaborate with finance by maintaining and providing the needed overview and information to ensure costs are correctly invoiced and allocated to the right locations. 

• Dispenser Contract Support: Promote direct contact between sales and legal where a dispenser agreement is to be drafted and signed prior to issue of requested equipment 

• Be the business representative for PMC and together with AC manage the supplier relationship as business representative for PMC with Fast & Fluid, Corob and other equipment suppliers for dispensers and shakers.
