Your Opportunity: Taylor Business Identity & Consumer Products group is seeking a General Manager for our Navitor Specialty Products (NSP) facility in North Mankato, MN. This role will direct and control all aspects of the P&L via production KPIs, quality assurance, sales, and administrative segments of the Plant operations. This position is responsible for driving a culture of engagement and a positive and productive work environment for all personnel. This role will lead a team of 120 employees and be accountable for driving revenue of $35- million.
Your Responsibilities:
- Directs operations and sales of a multiple shift manufacturing facility
- Lead, develop and motivate a customer centric team
- Develops business plans and annual budgets focusing on profitability
- Oversees the effective management of inventory, warehousing, scheduling, and on time delivery
- Drives a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of the business
- Full accountability for financial performance from creation of budget to actual monthly P&L performance, including such tasks as forecasting, variance reporting, budgeting, etc.
- Good understanding of all aspects of the business including backlogs, schedules, markups, costs, and pricing to ensure good business decisions are made daily
- Build relationships with customers and key vendors; act as an escalation point for customer or key vendor issues
- Lead sales; reviewing and managing all RFP’s and contracts to daily pricing decisions
- Selects, develops, trains, and holds staff accountable to ensure attainment of short- and long-term growth objectives
- Responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards for all employees
- Supports the implementation of automated systems throughout the facility
You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years' broad management experience
- 5+ years’ direct Operations leadership
- Prior experience building and leading teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of all functional areas (manufacturing, finance, sales/marketing, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills with unquestioned integrity
- Intermediate PC Skills - Computer/measurement systems knowledge; proficient in spreadsheet applications, web browser/internet navigation
- Strong planning / organizational skills, results oriented
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate employees
- Ability to be onsite 5 days per week
We Would Also Prefer:
- Broad management experience in print manufacturing
- Master of Business Administration or Finance
- Six Sigma Black Belt in Lean Manufacturing
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
