Operating in key markets such as Spain, Portugal, the US, Australia, New Zealand, France, the UK, and Canada, we proudly serve global brands like Uber, UberEats, DoorDash, ClassPass, and many more. As we continue to scale rapidly, we are looking for a highly experienced General Manager to lead our high-growth operations across Spain and Portugal and drive continued expansion in these key regions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Office location - WeWork Glories, Barcelona, Spain

You will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operational management, and growth of our business in the Iberian Peninsula. Reporting directly to the Management team, you will be accountable for driving topline growth, managing the P&L, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring full compliance with regional regulations. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader with a passion for operations, who can work cross-functionally and implement strategies that ensure long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic plan for Spain and Portugal, ensuring that all operational activities align with the company’s growth objectives. It is your responsibility to get every flyer into our customer’s target hands
  • P&L Ownership: Take full ownership of the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the region, optimizing costs while maximizing revenue and profitability.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the business, including logistics, supply chain management, and cross-functional collaboration with HQ in marketing, sales, and tech.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, manage, and lead a high-performing team, with a strong focus on people management and talent development, You’ll have several regional operations managers as direct reports, make their team and operations as successful as you.
  • Growth Initiatives: Drive market expansion and sales growth, using your deep understanding of the Iberian markets, generating or maintaining data-based strategies to boost the operation.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure all business operations comply with local laws and regulations in Spain & Portugal, we hire several temporary positions for our “Missions”, it is your responsibility to make sure everything is legally binding.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze key business metrics, leveraging data to inform decision-making and optimize operational efficiency.
Requirements
Requirements:
  • Experience: 7-10 years of experience in Sales or Operations management, with at least 3 years of experience in a general management role or similar position, ideally in a B2B environment.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing teams in a high-growth, fast-paced environment (Scale-up, Start-up).
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Spanish and Portuguese markets, with experience scaling operations in these regions.
  • P&L Expertise: Strong financial acumen and proven experience managing a P&L and accounting 
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and data analysis, with a strategic mindset for solving complex problems, SQL a +
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tools Proficiency: Comfortable working with spreadsheets and technology tools (e.g., CRM systems).
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally, especially with remote teams across different departments and continents.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of labor laws and regulatory requirements in both Spain & Portugal.
  • Native/fluent in Spanish and English. Portuguese a +

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role managing operations across multiple regions or countries.
  • Prior experience working in a high-growth startup or agency environment.
  • Familiarity with the offline marketing industry is a plus.

  • OTE Salary: up to 70,000 euros per year depending on experience + 20% bonus scheme.
