Job Description
- Create high-quality art assets for menus, icons, and in-game HUDs while designing intuitive, attractive, and innovative UI systems.
- Develop assets and illustrations for website marketing, including banners, logos, badges, icons, and other promotional materials.
- Report to the Lead Artist for task assignments, revisions, workflow, training, and creative discussions.
- Take full ownership of assigned tasks, including but not limited to:
- Creating UI assets that align with an established style, color palette, and templating conventions.
- Learning and applying artistic, IP, and licensing guidelines.
- Implementing revisions requested by licensors, leads, or supervisors on time and according to specifications.
- Collaborating with Production Artists, Designers, and Developers to ensure that UI assets are game-ready.
- Conduct research, review industry trends, and present proposals for new features and assets.
- Work closely with the Art and Design teams to ensure the highest quality UI graphics, define the look and feel of menus, and prioritize a seamless user experience.
- Demonstrate creativity and adaptability to various game styles and graphic aesthetics.
Qualifications
- A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UI, iconography, illustration, graphic design, and UI/UX ergonomics, with a focus on polished execution and traditional rendering techniques.
- Exceptional skills in illustration, design, typography, and motion design, with a passion for UI art and gaming.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Flash/Animate.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills, with a proactive approach and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- A professionally and personally driven mindset, embracing change and continuously learning new skills.
- Experience with wire-framing tools is a plus.
- Previous professional experience as a UI Artist in the gaming industry is a plus.
