Job Description
The AmaliTech Training Programme is a comprehensive I.T./digital skills initiative that prepares participants for successful careers in the technology industry. Designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and workplace skills, the programme is tailored for recent graduates in Ghana who have completed their mandatory national service within the past two (2) years.
The training includes a foundational curriculum that builds proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a selected frontend framework such as Angular or React. The advanced phase delves into advanced topics like state management, performance optimization, and server-side rendering, enabling participants to create high-performance, scalable web applications. The specialization also incorporates AWS cloud development services, including AWS Amplify, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, AppSync, and CloudFront, preparing participants for the AWS Associate certification and real-world application development challenges.
Programme Details
- Duration: 8 months (April 2025 – November 2025).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour break).
- Delivery mode: On-site (Accra and Kumasi)
- Structure: on the average:
- Instructor-led sessions: 3 hours/day.
- Self-paced learning: 3.5 hours/day.
- Project work: 2 hours/day.
- Certification: Participants receive a certificate of participation upon successful completion of the programme.
Post-Training Opportunities
Upon successful completion of the programme and the capstone project:
- Successful Candidates will be directly employed by AmaliTech in a rewarding long term career opportunity in the IT landscape.
- Candidates are also free to pursue opportunities with other organisations.
Qualifications
Education:
- Option 1: A tertiary degree or HND in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology with at least one year of experience in frontend development
OR
- Option 2: Any other tertiary degree or diploma with at least two years of experience in software engineering, including frontend development.
Skills and Experience:
- Option 1:
- At least one year of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, demonstrable through personal, academic, or professional projects.
OR
- Option 2:
- A minimum of one year of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- At least one year of experience with a frontend framework (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js) is a plus.
- Demonstrable knowledge of frontend development principles (e.g., through a portfolio, online courses, or boot camp certifications).
Additional Information
Logistics
- Location: Accra and Kumasi.
- Stipend: Participants receive a generous monthly stipend to support their living expenses during the training.
- Accommodation & Transport: No direct accommodation or transport support is provided.
Additional Requirements
- Technology: Participants must have access to a laptop and required software. Details of specific requirements will be communicated prior to the start of training.
- Assessment Process:
