Job Description
As the FP&A Reporting and Analysis Manager, you will lead efforts in financial planning, analytics, and reporting, leveraging advanced technical skills to drive efficiency and accuracy. You will oversee consolidated financial, managerial, bank, investor, and ad-hoc reporting while managing financial performance analysis for Brightspeed.
· This role requires a strong understanding of financial operations and data analytics, coupled with the technical expertise to automate and enhance reporting processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, provide actionable insights to senior leadership, and support the development of financial strategies to optimize decision-making. Your contributions will play a critical role in shaping the company's success and driving continuous improvement.
As a FP&A Reporting and Analysis Manager your duties and responsibilities will include:
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, identifying key trends, variances, and actionable insights.
- Provide in-depth analysis of revenue streams, cost structures, and operational performance to support strategic initiatives.
- Develop and present clear, concise financial narratives and recommendations to executive management and key stakeholders.
Financial Reporting and Commentary:
- Manage consolidated financial, managerial, and investor reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Translate complex financial data into meaningful dashboards and reports for various audiences.
- Lead the creation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance and track progress against strategic objectives.
Technical and Process Automation:
- Design, optimize, and automate financial reporting processes using tools such as Power BI, SAC, and VBA.
- Leverage data sources like BigQuery and Looker to extract and transform large datasets into actionable insights.
- Implement best practices for financial modeling, reporting efficiency, and system integration.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and IT, to align financial reporting with organizational goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
- Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Ad-Hoc Analysis and Corporate Support:
- Support special projects, including scenario modeling, business case analysis, and investment evaluations.
- Collaborate on corporate strategic initiatives, providing financial expertise and analytics to drive decisions.
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field; a Master’s degree (MBA or similar) is preferred.
- · 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and data analytics, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow management.
- Proven expertise in leveraging advanced tools like Power BI, SAC, VBA, and SQL to automate reports and streamline financial processes.
- Proficiency in handling large datasets, analyzing trends, and creating insightful dashboards and reports.
- Strong experience with financial planning and reporting systems such as Hyperion, SAP, Anaplan, or similar ERP/accounting systems.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring and developing teams in a dynamic environment.
BONUS POINTS FOR:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Data Science.
- CPA designation or advanced financial certifications (e.g., CFA, CMA).
- Experience in the telecommunications industry or similar sectors with complex operational structures.
- Advanced understanding of SQL, data visualization tools, and reporting automation techniques.
