FP&A and Data Analytics Intern

SupplyHouse.com, a fast-growing and innovative e-commerce company, is looking for an FP&A and Data Analytics Intern to work with us virtually this summer! This individual will gain hands-on experience supporting the FP&A and Data Analytics teams within our Finance department. 

This is a remote-based role within select states in the United States. At this time, we are only able to employ those located in the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.   

This position may require travel to our NY office headquarters up to two times during the program for internal meetings and team-building activities. The cost of travel for employees out of the area will be covered by the company. Additionally, our offices are always available for staff to use as much as desired.  

Location: Remote (Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington)  

Length of Program: Monday, June 2nd, through Friday, August 8th 

Internship On-Site Meeting: Wednesday, June 18th (required) 

Finance On-Site Meeting: Wednesday, July 16th, and Thursday, July 17th (optional) 

Hours: Standard business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST. However, there is some flexibility as per our Flex-Time Policy. 

Salary: $20.00/hour  

What are FP&A and Data Analytics? 

The FP&A and Data Analytics teams work together to analyze financial and operational data, leverage forecasting, modeling, and insights to drive strategic, data-driven decision making and optimize business performance. The FP&A side focuses on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic decision-making to guide business performance while the Data Analytics team extracts, analyzes, and visualizes data to identify trends, optimize operations, and drive data-driven decisions across various functions. 

The Day to Day: 

• Clean, organize, and analyze large datasets 
• Help with KPI tracking and performance dashboard 
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting by updating financial models 
• Conduct variance analysis to compare actual vs. forecasted performance 
• Gather financial/operational data and help prepare reports for leadership 
• Create data visualizations using tools like Excel and Power BI 
• Help with reporting on macro and competitor trends and earnings recaps  

Requirements: 

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a focus on Finance, Statistics, or a related field 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail 
• Excel skills and basic knowledge of SQL  
• Highly self-motivated and capable of multi-tasking and prioritization
