IFF is a global leader in Food Ingredients and Flavors, and we are constantly looking for new challenges—and developing new-to-world solutions that answer them. We are now looking for a dynamic individual to join our Indonesia Commercial team as Flavor Product Manager.

As a Flavor Product Manager, you will support key opportunities to drive flavors’ new technology go to market and voice of markets to communicate country’s needs, priorities and ‘sell’ market opportunities. You will also be a cross functional and influential leader, inspiring other functions in the sub-region/ country.

How You Will Contribute

  • Drives the Platform agenda in the Category Teams, to maximize the opportunity generating value for the platform in the continuum of category initiatives.  
  • Drive product portfolios within sub-regions/country, maximize product mix, manage price strategy to maximize IFF value.
  • Strengthens IFF's leadership position in Flavours in the Sub-region/Country, in alignment with the global and regional platform strategy and objectives.
  • Develops & shares market intelligence on competitors, markets, consumers, technology from interactions with customer/industry network and key stakeholders to drive competitive advantage.
  • Contributes to the annual category strategy ideation process. 
  • Contributes to annual Account Plan reviews with the sub-regional commercial team, assuring relevant target setting to maximize Platform success
  • Closely monitors IFF's preferred partner positions in the sub-regional customer network to assure access to Flavour opportunities and highest return on investment.
  • Promotes and coordinates training to ensure account managers have latest flavour, colour and seasonings technology knowledge, and full awareness of Re-Imagine, Re-Master programme, and master the capability to identify or generate opportunities for potential Flavour business that customers are not even aware of.
  • Provide ongoing input on monthly Platform sales forecasts, by working with the local commercial team (AMs & Group Category Managers) and providing formal quarterly reviews and annual budget input. 
  • Monitor Sub-regional/Country customer sales performance and provide strategic project pipeline updates to line management. 
  • Provide support & guidance on price increases in alignment with global/regional strategies. 
  • Understand economic scenarios, raw material prices fluctuation and establish pricing/price increase support strategies as required.
  • Responsible for Sub-regional/Country sales revenue, profitability, strategy and competitive market position of the relevant IFF product lines in the platform of Flavours, Seasonings & Colourings.
  • Execute and direct a strategy of differentiation that will result in progressive market share gains and increased profitability.
  • Translate value propositions into market opportunities resulting in building pipeline and supporting ACMs in converting opportunities into profitable growth.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing or Food Technology/Science, or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in the flavor industry 
  • Minimum 6 years in sales experience in FMCG, flavor, chemical/ingredients within Food & Beverage industry 
  • Exposure to the beverage, savory, snacks, sweets and/or dairy industries  
  • Existing flavor knowledge base and expertise
  • Project management, planning and analytical skills
  • Strong networking & internal/external negotiation skills 
  • Positive interpersonal skills, inspiring and influencing
  • Highly collaborative, team player, strong communication skills 
  • Results oriented, objectives driven, attention to details
