Financial Planning Analyst

We are looking to add a Financial Planning Analyst to our team! This person will be primarily supporting our Sales, Marketing, and IT leaders to successfully understand their financial planning, projection, analysis, standardized reporting, forecast preparation, and financial data management for SG&A. You will also be forecasting future expenditures to establish cost structures to achieve company objectives.

Here’s what this position is all about:

• Develop and lead the SG&A budgeting and forecasting process to ensure coordination and cooperation across the company on a global basis
• Leverage large data sets to create reports that drive actionable insights for the company, focusing on the underlying business drivers, key financial and operating metrics
• Partners with departments, project managers, and executives to support decision making processes
• Maintain financial analysis to influence how financial decisions impact the forecast for the organization for all departments
• Establish/maintain measurements for key metrics around P&L, B/S and Cashflow
• Drive companywide financial initiatives and make recommendations to optimize performance
• Collaborate and coordinate information flow with other staffs and business units for optimal corporate decisions
• Review monthly actual, forecast, and plan performance; understand deviations from both forecast and plan to provide insights to senior management
• Identify anomalies or errors in data and provide summarized views of findings. Ensure all scheduled reporting is successfully executed and distributed; research, troubleshoot and resolve reporting or data related issues
• Prepare, analyze, and select the best methods of presenting various data (reports, charts, diagrams). Summarize findings in concise and creative ways
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers to prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior management
• Provide and present monthly and quarterly analytics to drive management attention to risks, opportunities, and performance against targets assessment
• Contribute to ad hoc analytical projects as necessary both within and beyond your primary area of focus
• Establish and maintain strong, cross-functional business relationships with leaders and individuals’ company wide, and clearly understand departmental goals through effective and collaborative teamwork

What we are hoping you can bring to the Service Express team:

• Bachelor’s in Business, Finance or Accounting
• At least 1 year of financial planning and analysis experience
• Advanced Excel and presentation skills ideal but not required
