Job Summary:

Repsol Renewables North America is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Director to lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes while partnering with senior leadership to provide actionable insights for business decision-makings.  The FP&A Director will lead and manage the FP&A team while coordinating activities across interdisciplinary functions (O&M, E&C, Development, Energy Management, Finance, Corporate functions, etc.) to deliver timely reporting and analysis to keep management and stakeholders apprised of business performance.

The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and coordination of the annual budget and forecast processes.
  • Develop and present comprehensive financial reporting packages for senior management and corporate teams.
  • Lead the implementation of new performance management systems, tools and methods.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of financial models used to manage budgets, forecasts tracking of historical financial information.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and decision support.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to key departments providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Act as a key point of contact for financing partners on performance of projects and portfolios.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering an environment of collaboration, growth, and accountability.
     

Qualifications:

  • Must be qualified to work in the US for any employer
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or accounting.
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in industries such as renewable power, engineering, construction, or infrastructure.
  • Track record of financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage people and leverage experience to develop capabilities across teams.
  • Sound analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of accounting principles as it relates to financial reporting, forecasting and analysis across the income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.
