Applecart is the leading technology company creating a new category of “Decision Maker Marketing”. The most important decisions are made by the hardest people to reach and influence. Historically, C-suite leaders have lacked the tools to reach the stakeholders that matter most to their business. The C-suites of hundreds of Fortune 500 companies, major agencies, trade associations, nonprofits, and governments use Applecart to put their best content in front of business-critical decision makers and those they trust — from policymakers and investors to CEOs, key employees, members of the media and more. Decision makers are informed by what they read, learn from advisors, hear from colleagues, and discuss with family and friends. To break through to them, you must reach them through the only channel that really moves them: those they know and trust. Applecart’s platform uses publicly available or fully permissioned data to map billions of social relationships between nearly every American adult and enable clients to deliver content directly to decision makers and those that matter most to them.
We are hiring a Financial Analyst in our New York City office.
About the Role:
Are you ready to fast-track your finance career and make a real difference from day one? Join our lean, high-performing Finance team at a rapidly growing technology firm where your work will directly shape strategic decisions and business outcomes. You’ll be at the center of the action, supporting senior leadership (including the Co-CEOs!) with key insights, financial modeling, and data-driven storytelling.
You’ll report directly to our VP of Finance and work closely with our Sr. Manager of Strategic Finance. You’ll get exposure to executive decision-making while sharpening your analytical and financial modeling skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

- Support leadership in building budgets and long-term business plans that fuel our next phase of growth.
- Own key financial KPIs like retention and sales efficiency, ensuring our team always has an eye on what matters most.
- Lead monthly Budget vs. Actual (BvA) analysis to keep forecasts sharp and actionable.
- Partner with Accounting to deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting that tells a clear, compelling story.
- Craft board-worthy presentations for senior execs and our Board of Directors.
- Dive into high-impact ad hoc projects that span across the org, including special requests from our C-Suite.
- Explore and evaluate new tools to automate workflows and level-up our financial processes.
Experiences and Capabilities You Bring:
- At least 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, FP&A, or a similar fast-paced finance environment (bonus if you’ve seen the inside of a startup!)
- A wizard in Excel—modeling, dashboards, and data wrangling are second nature to you.
- Sharp attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple moving parts with precision.
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills—you can create impactful, executive-level materials and translate numbers into insights that drive action.
- A self-starter mindset—you’re proactive, curious, and always looking for ways to add value.
- (Bonus) Familiarity with SaaS metrics, recurring and usage-based revenue models, and/or U.S. GAAP.
This is a hybrid role. Work from home on Monday and Friday and in Applecart’s New York City office Tuesday through Thursday.
Compensation:
