As a Financial Analyst with Clearwater’s Investor Relations team, you will work in a high visibility role and will interact with various constituents across different departments, including exposure to key executives in our company. In this role, you will develop knowledge of how public market company operates in a public stock market with investors in the investment community. You will learn what factors impact valuation of a publicly listed company and engage in corporate finance topics, and what factor are important to sophisticated public market investors. You will also gain strong knowledge of the key strategic initiatives, financial performance, forecast model, margin expansion path, key accounting and financial metrics, and strategic vision of our company. You will perform analysis of how investors view our company and the key topics of interest to them, in addition to maintaining our investor relations CRM system, along with other key deliverables of investor relations. Through this role, as a side benefit, you will learn about valuation, corporate finance, stock market, and investor dynamics from a real-world perspective. You will also gain a bird’s eye view of the overall performance and track record of the company, along various key revenue growth and profitability metrics.
What you will do:
- Contribute to the strategy and key action items needed for investor relations and how to maximize awareness of our company’s strengths and valuation of our company
- Perform analysis of how investors view our company and the key topics of interest to them
- Maintain our investor relations CRM system and produce analytical reports on our investor relations outreach and impact
- Maintain a database and provide key insights on our shareholder base and prospective investors who might become shareholders in the future
- Prepare the legwork necessary to plan for investor conference, investor events, and other external-facing events that impact our share price and valuation
- Read and analyze research reports and to understand what are key factors considered by both research analysts and investors
- As you ramp up on your ability, you may also gain interactions with sophisticated public market investors
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field with 2+ years relevant experience
- Advanced Excel user (Vlookup, pivot tables, etc.).
- Proficient user of PowerPoint, including the ability to make a variety of charts
- Interest in stock market and how public company share price is impacted by company results and company-specific news
- Interest in learning about how public company are valued (valuation) by sophisticated public market investors
- Ability to make decisions based on precedent and solve arising problems using sound business judgment and experience
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and other business partners
- Ability to work independently and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging and changing environment
- Ability to lead special projects working with cross functional areas throughout the company
- Detailed-oriented with a commitment to producing reliable work product
