Job Description
ABX Air is looking for a Financial Analyst to oversee the daily operations of the ABX Accounting department. This role involves supervising the GL area to ensure all financial activities are accurate and comply with company guidelines and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Additionally, this position supports the FP&A process, including the annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, and special projects.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial information.
- Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Microsoft Office skills with the ability to create complex Excel spreadsheets using formulas, dynamic charts, Power Point Presentations, and complex Word Documents.
- Experience with Financial & Accounting Systems (Oracle experience a plus)
- Ability to work collaboratively with all departments including regular contact with the parent company.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 3 to 5 years of Finance or business analytical experience.
- Minimum three years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience supporting senior management team and department heads with in-depth analysis.
- Ad hoc reporting experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills including presentation and public speaking skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills and the ability to multi-task.
