insitro is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Finance Systems Manager to join our team reporting to the Director of Procurement. This role is pivotal to driving strategic digital transformation by building and optimizing an integrated Accounting, Finance, Inventory Management and Procurement reporting systems infrastructure delivering sustainable competitive advantages in Life Sciences. You will lead initiatives bridging business strategy, various systems and technologies, enabling data-driven decisions leading to impactful organizational outcomes. This is a hybrid position with the expectation of working 3 days per week onsite in our South San Francisco office.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Systems Infrastructure & Automation
- Own and lead all facets of Oracle Cloud Fusion, driving interconnectivity, automation, and efficiency.
- Manage relationships with Oracle managed service providers, ensuring seamless technical fixes and system maintenance.
- Conduct root-cause analysis, implement resolutions, and document findings to improve long-term system performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document near- and long-term requirements for Finance and business needs.
- Oversee systems integration across boundaries, ensuring smooth data flow and alignment.
- Lead system refreshes, quarterly release innovation reviews, and timely implementation of updates and enhancements.
- Build and enable business intelligence systems, including analytics dashboards that deliver actionable insights across Finance and supporting units.
- Spearhead end-to-end project management for system enhancements, from gathering business requirements to testing, stabilization, and adoption.
- Provide technical support for end-users, resolving high-priority tickets and production issues with a focus on root-cause resolution.
- Analyze current processes and systems, recommending and implementing best-practice improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Project Management
- Deliver technology thought leadership across functions to drive digital transformation and enhance systems adoption.
- Employ formal change management methodologies to ensure high ROI from system enhancements.
- Support critical initiatives for SOD (Segregation of Duties) and SOX compliance in partnership with the Accounting team.
- Collaborate with Finance teams to optimize and automate processes such as supplier punch-outs and cash reconciliation.
Strategic Vision & Innovation
- Partner with leadership to design and execute a long-term, forward-looking Finance systems strategy aligned with insitro's business goals.
- Act as a thought leader to drive best practices, foster innovation, and implement holistic, integrated financial technology ecosystems.
- Develop a strategic five-year roadmap emphasizing automation, integration, and continuous improvement of Finance-critical systems.
About You
- 8+ years of progressive experience in a business and financial technologies with a demonstrable track record of strategic impact
- Agile mindset capable of delivering needle-moving results across many concurrent projects
- Visionary systems expert with a passion of integrating strategy, technology and innovation to design and implement transformative technology infrastructure
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, Engineering or similar related field
- Oracle ERP functionality expertise required. Experience using Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, SmartView, FRS)
- Knowledge of procure-to-pay, Accounting close and general Accounting/Finance practices
- Proficient in business intelligence and data visualization tools (Tableau)
- Outstanding project management and business partnering
- Empathetic approach to technology design, implementation and change management
- Comprehension of SOX and audit practices
Nice to Have
- Life Sciences experience
- Experience with Anaplan, UKG, and Jira or comparable systems
Compensation & Benefits at insitro
Our target starting salary for successful US-based applicants for this role is $165,000 - $185,000. To determine starting pay, we consider multiple job-related factors including a candidate's skills, education and experience, market demand, business needs, and internal parity. We may also adjust this range in the future based on market data.
This role is eligible for participation in our Annual Performance Bonus Plan (based on company targets by role level and annual company performance) and our Equity Incentive Plan, subject to the terms of those plans and associated policies.
