Specific Role Responsibilities
• Assist in preparing monthly closings, including BS and P&L statements, in compliance with LUX GAAP and IFRS for the group reporting package.
• Perform periodic Balance Sheet reconciliations and analysis, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Collaborate with external auditors to complete interim and year-end audits efficiently.
• Review documentation for corporate tax reports and VAT returns, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Support the Finance team in driving ad-hoc projects and initiatives, particularly to enhance integration with group functions.
• Participate in the intercompany reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and alignment across entities.
• Develop and implement a unified reporting structure, including standardized templates and methodologies for consolidating revenue data from multiple IT systems monthly.
• Create profitability analysis by client including detailed cost allocations
• Lead a project to identify and capitalize development costs in line with IFRS requirements, working closely with the R&D department to document and justify capitalization criteria.
• Actively support the finance integration process, ensuring alignment with Group Policies, Standards, and Procedures, including procurement practices.
• Propose and implement innovative approaches to optimize workflows and improve efficiency across financial operations.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the local Finance Team and the European Group Finance Team, ensuring smooth communication and consistency in financial data and reporting practices.
Experience required
• Experience in regulatory reporting (e.g., CSSF reporting) is an advantage.
• University degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent • 2-3 years of experience in the financial sector in Luxembourg or the BIG 4
• Extensive experience in financial accounting including monthly / yearly closing procedures
• Experience of IFRS accounting and LUX GAAP is an advantage
• Thanks to your strong presentation skills, methods expertise and mediation competence, you are confident in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• You pay attention to detail and constantly focus on quality and efficiency
• Problem-identification isn’t difficult for you, as you always work solutionoriented
• Tight deadlines and working under pressure don’t put you off your stride
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Knowledge of German is a strong advantage
• ACCA/CFA/FCMA/CPA certification is a plus
