About the team
The Investment Services, Infrastructure team is part of EQT’s Fund Operations unit, a global function responsible for managing fund-related activities and deal execution with precision and efficiency. Fund Operations ensures EQT meets the high standards of our investors and stakeholders by delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.
The Investment Services, Infrastructure team specifically focuses on managing investment structures for Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), with a specialized emphasis on infrastructure investments. Working closely with EQT’s Investment Advisory teams and external advisors, the team ensures the seamless execution and management of complex investment structures, while upholding the highest standards of corporate governance and compliance.
About the role
As an Associate in the Investment Services - Infrastructure team, you will play a key role in supporting the successful execution of deals, from tax structuring to legal documentation, and in maintaining investment structures during the holding period. You will collaborate across teams, manage multiple stakeholders, and contribute to the smooth operation of infrastructure investments. This role requires attention to detail, exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with Investment Advisory teams (EQT Deal teams) to support deal execution during the signing, closing and post-closing process, including participating in tax structuring discussions, setting up investment structures, reviewing and executing fund flows, and coordinating legal documentation.
- Present investment and divestment opportunities to the Investment Committee and actively participate in quarterly board meetings.
- Oversee the maintenance of investment structures during the holding period, ensuring corporate governance and compliance requirements are met.
- Monitor fund and investment liquidity needs and manage capital events.
- Coordinate with service providers, internal teams within Fund Operations and other functions across EQT to ensure all transaction aspects are considered and managed (Risk, Compliance, Treasury, Legal).
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and queries to support team growth and organizational objectives.
About You
We are looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You have a proactive mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results. You are a strong team player with excellent communication skills and a "can-do" attitude.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant working experience in BIG4, law firms, private equity, or real estate organizations, with exposure to Alternative Investment Funds and their structures.
- Education: University degree (or equivalent) in finance, law, economics, accounting, or business administration. Professional qualifications (e.g., CAIA, CFA, ACCA) are an advantage.
- Expertise: Strong understanding of fund management activities and fund documentation (PPM, LPA) as well as very good understanding of all deal mechanics (legal, tax and financial). Prior exposure to M&A transactions is a strong plus.
- Skills: Highly efficient, organized, problem solving and proactive, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Languages: Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
