Job Description
The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis will play a critical role in overseeing the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, to drive key business decisions. This role demands exceptional analytical skills, clear communication abilities, project management skills, and the capacity to deliver actionable business insights to senior management.
A primary focus will be on collaborating with Sales and Delivery to ensure alignment between financial objectives, sales targets, and project execution, thereby enhancing overall financial performance. The Manager will actively participate in cross-functional projects and support strategic initiatives across the organization, contributing to long-term business success.
This position is integral to fostering alignment between financial goals and operational execution, ensuring the organization remains focused on achieving its strategic and financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Forecasting: Ensure the financial planning and analysis process with a strong emphasis on accurate revenue forecasting and project cost budgeting to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Collaborate with Sales and Delivery teams to ensure seamless alignment between the sales pipeline, project execution, and overall financial objectives.
- Performance Analysis: Perform regular financial performance analyses, including variance and driver analysis, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance project outcomes and profitability. Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
- Scenario Modelling and Projections: Conduct scenario modeling and financial Conduct scenario modeling and financial projections to evaluate the financial implications of business decisions and support strategic planning.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement in financial planning processes by leveraging technology and automation tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of financial analysts, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment to achieve organizational and team objectives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis and/or financial business. partnering, preferably within an IT or technology-driven environment.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, quote-to-cash processes, and project profitability.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Proficiency in financial planning tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving.
- Ability to clearly communicate financial insights to non-financial.
- Experience with financial analysis specific to IT service delivery, including margin analysis, cost allocation, and project-based accounting.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
