As the Finance MDG Business Sr. Analyst at Mars, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing an expanded version of SAP MDG for finance data elements, across a complex and dynamic ecosystem. Your primary objective will be to uphold enterprise master data standards while adapting to changing business needs and adhering to governance policies. In this strategic role, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including finance, IT, and business leaders, to drive the successful deployment and integration of the MDG solution, supporting systems like S/4HANA, Central Finance (CFIN), S4 and OneStream. The incumbent will also assist the business team with migration, testing and end-user training.

You will work under the guidance & leadership of the Master Data Strategy & Architecture Sr Manager in the Global Finance Master Data Governance Team, as part of the Fintech organization.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in developing data governance frameworks and bringing master data best practices.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) with SAP MDG for finance, including technical design, definition of physical data models, and CRUD processes.
  • Proven track record of successful MDG deployments in large and complex SAP transformations.
  • Experienced and capable to envision, model and optimize complex, yet efficient business processes, data and work-flows.
  • Preferably business understanding of financial statements and accounting principles, and how master data affects business processes across a large ecosystem.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, any additional language is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel flexibly globally (up to 1 week every 2-3 months).

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Support the design, build, and deployment of an enhanced MDG solution for finance master data elements across a complex global ecosystem.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with Mars model data standards, governance policies, and MDM leading practices.
  • Partner with finance, business, and IT to ensure shared understanding and agreement on data requirements, governance, and implementation plans.
  • Ensure proper governance and controls are built into the new processes and workflows by coordinating with the Global Financial Controls team. 
  • Assist with data migration from ERP systems to MDG-F, including data creation, validating mock and production data loads, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) according to the deployment playbook.
  • Contribute where applicable to mapping of new data models to the already existing finance master data.
  • Support the integration of MDG-F with scoped ERPs as we deploy a common data model across new ecosystem (SAP and non SAP).
  • Help create training materials for end-users, along with other key documentation (e.g., for SharePoint and Collibra).

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.  Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate).  Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
