Finance Business Partner

Position Overview

As the financial leader for plant and operational activities, this individual will oversee financial processes, enhance cost control, and drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and performance management. The Finance Business Partner will serve as a key financial partner to plant management, supporting decision-making, improving cost efficiencies, and ensuring financial transparency in operations.

The Finance Business Partner will play a key role in optimising and improving the existing GBS model within Artex, incorporating elements of financial control to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes, financial operations and strong alignment with broader business objectives.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with an initial emphasis on being onsite more frequently to enhance team collaboration and effectively build relationships with stakeholders. As you become more integrated into the business, the expectation will shift to being onsite at least a few days per week.

Key responsibilities:

The Finance Business Partner will have a broad set of responsibilities split over several key areas:

• Financial Leadership: Oversee robust accounting practices, manage monthly financial closing, statutory reporting obligations, and financial governance while ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Supply Chain & Process Improvement: Drive operational performance by improving financial processes, optimizing KPIs, driving cost savings, and supporting financial strategies for efficiency and transparency.
• GBS Transition Leadership: Improve financial processes and responsibilities in alignment with Artex BV’s transition to the Global Business Services (GBS) model, ensuring corporate and operational efficiency.
• Financial Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies supporting company growth and profitability.
• Commercial Acumen: Support the Commercial Division by providing financial insights for pricing, cost management, and investment decision-making.
• Data Management: Use analytics to simplify complex financial scenarios and provide actionable insights.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Operations, Sales, and Marketing to align financial goals with broader business objectives.
• EMEA Projects: Participate in finance-related projects across the EMEA region to enhance best practices and drive synergies.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process optimizations to promote efficiency, transparency, and value creation.
• ERP Upgrade Support: Facilitate the ERP system facelift by enhancing financial reporting structures and ensuring thorough financial testing and validation.

The Finance Business Partner will have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (HBO/WO or equivalent) in Finance & Control, Business Economics, Accountancy, or Business Administration, or internationally recognized certifications such as CMA, CIMA, or ACCA. Additional certifications in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or lean financial management are beneficial
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a finance role, with a strong background in business partnering, financial analysis, and accounting
• Experience in a manufacturing or consumer goods industry is an advantage
• Proficiency in financial management software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills. Experience with Power BI and consolidation systems (Oracle EPM) is preferred. Knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques is an advantage
• Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to oversee financial reporting and compliance
• Operational & Supply Chain Acumen: Proven ability to translate operational and supply chain data into actionable financial insights, with a strong understanding of cost drivers, efficiency improvements, and logistics performance
• Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Problem-solving & Change Management: Ability to simplify complex financial data and scenarios, providing clear, concise recommendations. Strong leadership in change management, ensuring the successful adoption of new working procedures, effective collaboration and seamless communication across the organization.
• Adaptability: Ability to navigate uncertainty, manage shifting priorities, and respond effectively to evolving business needs while maintaining a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
• Has strong verbal and written command of Dutch and English
