What's the role?
The Employee & Labor Relation Specialist/ Manager is part of our People Enablement team and will work closely with our People team, the Country leadership and Employment Legal Counsel to nurture our trusted relationship with the Works Councils in Europe (e.g. France, Finland, Germany) and employee representation globally but has a main focus on the Work Council in France. This role will act as a key point of contact and advisor for the business and People teams for all works council and consultation related topics.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing information and consultation of works councils to implement business decisions, in close cooperation with our Employment Legal Counsel
- Being responsible for all our works councils' documentation and governance, ensuring we are compliant with the French WOC requirements
- Keeping a clear overview of all current topics, projects and managing deadlines related to our works councils in Europe, necessary for compliance with statutory obligations
- Advising, engaging and educating our internal stakeholders and our works councils on consultation practices and deadlines, collecting all relevant information and managing the information or approval process
- Planning, preparing, and facilitating regular and subject-matter related meetings with our works councils
- Liasing and collaborating with cross-functional teams , employees and managers, on matters conected to our works councils, including employee complaints received by our works councils.
- Working closely with the business and other stakeholders for the successful roll-out of company programs, policies and initiatives and on communications with employees
- Ensuring to stay up to date with legal changes, developments in the external market and address complex topics proactively as well as communicating to stakeholders and our works councils on the legal and operational risks on such topics.
Who are you?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with an emphasis on Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Labor Relations or similar a strong plus
- Minimum 3 years relevant job experience (HR/Employee Relations Expert)
- HR Generalist background preferred
- Expert knowledge of works council related processes and associated relationship and stakeholder management preferred
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop, drive and contribute to overall employee relations strategy within a rapidly changing environment or fast-paced environment
- Structured way of working, with a rigorous and detailed oriented approach
- Demonstrated ability to take a broad view of a business request and deliver solutions that balance both business and legal requirements
- Demonstrated strong negotiation skills and ability to work effectively in a global network and build the necessary rapport and relationships to be successful
- Fluent English and French
