About this role
As a member of the Finance Team, you will support the sales and marketing teams by providing financial insights, analysis, and strategic guidance. The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role collaborating with key stakeholders across business to drive financial performance, optimize budgets and support log-term business growth. The role requires a strong technical background and advanced financial modelling skills to drive business performance and decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to support division initiatives.
- Ability to challenge and build to achieve operational efficiencies and savings.
- Monitor financial performance against targets and identify opportunities for improvement.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Financial Modelling & Compliance:
- Create and maintain complex financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Ensure financial practices align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Support audits and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor financial performance against targets and identify opportunities for improvement.
Strategic Support:
- Partner with division leaders to develop and execute strategic plans and offer financial guidance
- Work closely with teams to understand business needs and align financial strategies
- Present financial reports and insights in a clear and actionable manner.
Data Management & Process Improvement:
- Utilize financial software and tools to manage and analyze data effectively and to drive efficiencies within the team and the business.
- Assist in improving financial processes, reporting systems and data accuracy.
Education level
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- CA (SA) or CIMA/SAICA/CPA strongly preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role, with a focus on business partnering.
- Experience in supporting sales and marketing functions is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Strong knowledge of financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
- System implementation Experience.
- Global Finance Experience a must.
