Job Overview
As a Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for supporting the systems and processes required to forecast Avid’s product and technology investments. This role provides the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Product & Engineering leaders to assess the Total Cost of Ownership of AvidXchange products. Ideal candidates will possess financial acumen in capital allocation; have portfolio management, or Product experience; and possess a passion for researching and problem-solving independently.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as the primary Finance Business Partner to the Engineering & Product Leadership Teams.
- Collectively support the development data-driven, financial models to assess the Total Cost of Ownership for our Market Solutions.
- Support routine forecasting of departmental and Solution Investments for respective business units.
- Work with business partners and peers within the finance organization to educate, train, and enable them to understand and effectively manage investment levels.
- Maintain and improve efficient communication routines to provide data driven recommendations that supplement regular planning processes. This includes distributing KPI reports, managing Risk & Opportunity schedules, and developing ad-hoc analyses, as necessary.
- Collaborate with peers in finance, controllership, and data intelligence to ensure data is consistently and accurately maintained, enabling in-depth analyses in areas such as vertical, customer, and product lines.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance and with 3-5 years of prior relevant experience.
- Superior analytical skills and insatiable business curiosity to understand investments.
- Must have demonstrated the highest levels of mastery of Excel
- Intermediate database skills, as well as familiarity with other Microsoft Office products and corporate ERP systems
- Knowledge of accounting, reporting, forecasting/business intelligence systems.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Unquestioned professional integrity.
- MBA, preferably in $500M+ software business (preferably Software-as-a-Service, FINTECH and transactional revenue models)
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Insights Modeling/Administration, PowerBI and SQL
- Business acumen in either Portfolio Management, or Product Operations functions and understanding of financial systems [ERP, Forecasting & Product/Portfolio management].
- Experience in Capital Allocation systems for Program / Product Management.
- Exemplary business partnership and cross functional management skills.
- Manages competing demands and adapts to frequent change, delays, and unexpected results
