BrightEdge is seeking an energetic, detailed and scrappy Event Manager who has a passion for executing stellar events in a fast-moving SAAS organization. We are looking for a proactive manager to partner with the BrightEdge Marketing Team to produce events from conception to completion. Responsibilities include organizing memorable industry events that aim to educate and connect our customer community and elevate the BrightEdge brand. The successful candidate will be charged with discovering new processes and systems to enable the Marketing Team to execute events to scale.


**This position is on-site 5 days / week based out of our Cleveland office**

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of event planning process including: day-to-day subcontractor relations, venue selection, entertainment, catering, A/V coordination, transportation, collateral design and printing, onsite registration and execution
  • Negotiate venue and vendor contracts to ensure event expenses align with marketing’s master budget; identify ways to leverage global discounts with vendors and service providers
  • Maintain event banding to ensure all elements of events including collateral, promotional and visual assets are within BrightEdge style guidelines and successfully promote our brand and messages
  • Partner with marketing team to update brighedge.com/events to promote events in a timely and successful manner
  • Run point on all industry event correspondence including tradeshow prospectus requirements pre-and post-sponsorship events
  • Maintain master events calendar and schedule and communicate key dates internally
  • Specify internal staff requirements and coordinate their onsite event needs, calendars and activities
  • Communicate with BrightEdge PR agency to help promote events via Social
  • Propose solutions to improve event processes internally and externally
  • Produce event campaign reports in salesforce.com
  • Conduct post event analysis and provide summaries: attendee mix, survey results, budget tracking

What it Takes to be Successful

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required with Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong presentation skills and credibility with C-level executives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience coordinating events in a fast-moving SAAS environment
  • Manage multiple, complex programs independently: tradeshows, field events, roundtables, summits
  • Ability to stay focused and organized so all events are polished, professional and memorable
  • Liaise with business partners to identify event needs and to ensure successful enablement tools
  • Ability to anticipate onsite event requirements as well as provide solutions to unexpected challenges
  • Excellent time management, communication and problem solving skills
  • Proactive approach to communicating and working with marketing team so events align with integrated team strategy
  • Ability to build productive business relationships with internal clients: Sales, Design, Product
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
