Responsible for the planning, and implementation of Haemonetics events for the North America Hospital business. This includes but is not limited to sales meetings, trade shows, investor conferences and internal/external sales training programs. In this role you will oversee fiscal budgets, manage all vendor relationships and promote enriching events that align with business unit and franchise strategic objectives and achieve established KPIs. This is a regional role but has Global reach and influence where assigned.

Essential Duties

  • In accordance with marketing objectives and strategies for specified region, the Events Manager leads end-to-end planning and execution for all events, including sales meetings, trade shows, investor conferences and internal/external sales training programs.
  • Determines and manages fiscal requirements, budgetary recommendations, and event budgets. Maintains budgets, tracks KPIs and benchmarks in a master event calendar to support return on investment for a specified region(s).
  • Works with designated vendors on planning, promoting and managing logistics for the Annual President’s Club Incentive Trip. Collaborates with Finance to produce the yearly President Club awards criteria document; and manage records, year over year, of winner names for the Presidents Club (and other incentive programs).
  • Identifies venues to meet business needs and maximize return on investment.  Negotiates and manages event contracts with selected venues to ensure effective conference / meetings rooms, caterers and entertainment.  Works closely with event professionals, hotels and other vendors as needed.
  • Manages vendor relationships including exhibit house and all on-site vendor relationships. .
  • Establish clear and regular line of communication on events, timelines, and prioritizing deliverables in a timely manner. Plan and drive regular planning meetings to align plans with the teams and ensure vendors are updated regularly on project expectations. Maintains timelines and project plans that are tracked in a master tradeshow event calendar for specified region(s).
  • Develops meeting materials and distributes materials and logistic communications to event attendees.
  • Coordinates with Global and Regional Marketing team to secure event creative and content, including marketing assets, web and multimedia content.
  • Attends events as needed.  Manages activities such as shipping, audiovisual, custodial, booth set up/breakdown, etc. Helps troubleshoots unforeseen problems as needed.
  • Collaborate with Global and Regional Marketing teams to identify, partner with, and manage appropriate resources (i.e., vendor relationships, internal resources, etc.) to ensure that communications plans associated with events meet objectives.
  • Manages and implements technical platforms used for lead capture, event registration, meeting management apps, and conducting virtual tradeshows, meetings and webinars/speaker events. (i.e. iCapture, CVENT, Jifflenow)

Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree Required

Years of Experience

  • 10 years Tradeshow/special events experience, including corporate event planning (required)
  • or Equivalent combination of education and experience

Training/Certifications

  • Proficient with MS Office with an emphasis on PowerPoint, Excel (Required)

  • Experience with marketing software tools  Including but not limited to HubSpot, ShowPad, SFDC, Print on Demand, BrandFolder, etc.

Physical Demands

  • Sitting; remaining in a seated position
  • Standing; walking; reaching with hands and arms; and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Lifting/moving up to 10 pounds.
  • Travel Expectations: 25 to 50%; Including weekends as needed
