About the role:

We’re looking for an Events Associate to join our Events Team and play a key role in executing our flagship trade shows and surround sound event programs. In this role, you’ll help bring our brand to life through high-impact events that drive engagement, strengthen industry presence, and contribute to revenue growth.

You'll work closely with marketing and other teams to plan and pull off large-scale industry events, making sure everything - from logistics to booth activations - runs smoothly and delivers real impact. We’re looking for someone who can bring fresh, creative ideas while keeping an eye on the details to ensure successful execution.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized event professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering unique event experiences.

This position is based in New York City.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the planning of multiple trade shows and surround sound events, ensuring deadlines are met and every detail is handled effectively. 
  • Develop creative event concepts and activations that engage attendees, create memorable experiences, and support business growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure event alignment, buy-in and success. 
  • Coordinate logistics and manage vendors to ensure seamless event execution. 
  • Negotiate with vendors and track spend to stay within allocated event budgets. 
  • Oversee day-to-day event operations with a focus on exceeding registration and attendance targets.
  • Lead on-site execution, tackle real-time challenges, and maintain composure and professionalism at all times.
  • Track key event metrics and provide actionable insights to improve future events.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and attendees to evaluate success and continuously improve future events.

What you’ll need:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in event planning (trade show experience preferred). 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently manage projects, take initiative, and proactively solve roadblocks while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Comfortable leading meetings and presenting to large cross-functional teams. 
  • Remain poised under pressure with a can-do attitude, ensuring seamless execution in high-stakes situations.
  • Hands-on and ready to dive into the details, problem-solve, and get things done. 
  • Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration, working effectively with sales, marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a passion for logistics and onsite execution.
  • Experience with budget management and tracking event costs. 
  • Metrics-driven mindset, using data to evaluate event success and refine strategies.
  • Comfortable with 25% travel to manage on-site event execution.

Hybrid work:

At Forter, we have embraced a hybrid work model that combines the benefits of in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. As part of this exciting approach, Team members are invited to work from the office at least 2 days per week. Salary Range: $80,000 - $98,000 annually + bonus + equity + benefits
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, and skill level.
