Summary
The primary responsibility of the Estimating Supervisor is to oversee the Estimating department and staff as they estimate and provide quantities for bid, ordering, and contracting purposes.
Essential Functions
-
Review all new bids for proper specs and resources and initiate their start based on priority and team workload

Attend Bid and Onboarding meetings for potential and new builders/accounts
-
Oversee daily team production, adjusting workload and work items amongst the team as needed
-
Maintain department Scope of Work and processes
-
Review all material issues that require attention. Delegating them out as needed and reviewing the findings
-
Create and update procedures and policies as needed. To include how work is to be generated
-
Maintain consistency across all processes of the department
-
Keep an open line of communication between yourself and all staff on your team
-
Communicate and Review with other management, including those in the field, to verify, and if need be, correct data/processes
-
Strive to continuously improve upon the capabilities and procedures as in your control
-
Provide solutions through analysis and investigation
-
Identify areas of quality improvement and opportunities, and implement responsive strategies and procedures

Develop employee training and development tools
-
Any other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
-
High School or equivalent
-
5 to 7 years of applicable job experience
-
Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in a professional and courteous manner
-
Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, subordinates, and co-workers
-
Exhibits sound and accurate judgment, supports, and explains reasoning for decisions, includes appropriate people in decision-making process, and makes timely decisions
-
Callidus and/or RFMS Measure knowledge preferred
-
Digital and hard blueprint deciphering capabilities
-
Ability to visualize 3D data from 2D information a must
-
Ability to utilize and instruct staff on software, forms, and other tool usage

Strong computer skills (All Microsoft products; Excel, Word, & Outlook)

Strong math and problem-solving skills a must
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively
-
Willingness to learn new skills and techniques and to effectively train others

Ability to structure, prioritize, and designate work for the entire team as needed

Be proficient in installation methods of all flooring, tops, and paver materials utilized by covered division
Preferred
-
Associates Degree / 2-year Technical School 
-
Bilingual experience preferred, but not required (English/Spanish)

Knowledge of Flooring systems

Onsite Field/Project Management experience
