The Opportunity
Boeing Australia is going through an exciting stage of growth and expansion driven by a number of innovative business initiatives including the Boeing MQ-28 “Ghost Bat”. MQ-28 is an autonomous aircraft that has been designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia. It is a globally-significant program for Boeing and Australia demonstrated by the investment Boeing is making in building a new fabrication and assembly production facility in Toowoomba, Queensland to enable the high rate production of MQ-28 aircraft.
Right from the start, the design, development and production of MQ-28 has had a digital first approach. It has been designed and built on a foundation of Model Based Engineering (MBE) principles with the target of business and production automation through establishing Operational Digital Threads and the Digital Transformation of Boeing’s Operational Processes and Systems.
To continue to enable the next wave of Digital Transformation and drive technology innovation, Boeing IT is seeking to grow its’ talent base by seeking applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds and skill sets located across Toowoomba, Brisbane and Melbourne as preferred locations. Other Boeing locations would be considered for the right candidates.
Working for Boeing and supporting MQ-28 you will have opportunities to gain and expand your knowledge across a number of Digital and Model Based value streams associated with aircraft design, engineering and production and to by addressing the complex technology challenges associated with this, deepen your experience in your chosen technology domain.
Successful applicants will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic technology, engineering and manufacturing environment.
Skills
Specifically, we are seeking applicants, at all levels, with one or more of the following experiences:
- Oracle eBusiness (MRP, ERP, Supply Chain)
- Full Stack development or development experience in either of Python, C#, .Net, ASP.Net, SQL, PL/SQL
- Dassault 3DExperience and / or Apriso
- Data, Analytics and Enterprise Integration
- DevOps and Systems Administration
Previous Experience
- 3-10 years’ experience in a similar working environment such as defence, manufacturing or multi-national companies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with strong organizational and planning skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional and global enterprise teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuous improvement and Boeing's core values of safety, quality, and integrity
Education/Qualifications
Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in a computer, mechatronics, engineering or quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, data science, artificial intelligence, computer science, mathematics) is preferred, but not essential
Eligibility
Applicants must be Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain AGSVA clearance to meet defence security requirements.
