General Information:
Hitachi Energy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Training and Learning & Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and development, coupled with a strong background in engineering, to drive the continuous growth and development of our Transformer engineering team.
Your Responsibilities
-
Create and provide comprehensive trainings tailored to the needs of transformer engineering teams, focusing on technical skills, product knowledge, and professional development.

Coordinate and conduct design training programs, including blended learning such as pre-learning, digital learning, experiential, peer-to-peer and workshops.

Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and webinars for engineers at various levels, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill acquisition.

Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms, assessments, and performance metrics, and continuously refine content and delivery methods based on results.

Collaborate with engineering leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to identify training needs, align learning initiatives with business objectives, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

Your Background:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 5+ years of training experience in manufacturing industry.

Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and transformer technologies.

Candidate having transformer manufacturing experience may qualify them for visa sponsorship that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the U.S.

Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and training delivery, utilizing a variety of learning methodologies and tools.

Excellent verbal communication, presentation Skills and engagement skills in-person and virtual Ability to travel 10-25%
