We're seeking a seasoned Engineering Project Manager to lead our product development initiatives. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for driving complex engineering projects from inception to launch. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, design, and quality, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and take corrective action as needed
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, design, and Quality teams to align on project goals and deliverables
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among team members
  • Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during project execution
  • Apply technical knowledge to assess project feasibility and provide expert guidance
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Implement quality control measures to minimize defects and errors

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is a must
  • 5+ years of experience in project management in a product development environment is a must
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with industrial manufacturing equipment and electrical/ electronics
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project)
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)

Pay Transparency
 
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
Compensation Range:

$89,300.00 - $165,800.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
