The Team:
The EDM Quality Assurance team comprises of Highly skilled and experienced Testing professionals located in US, Europe and India. The team supports the high quality of software by independently verifying that software functionality conforms to business requirements using a combination of manual and automation testing techniques. The team is also responsible for verifying technical aspects of the implementation including the performance and scalability of the solution.
What’s in it for you:
S&P Global is seeking experienced testing professionals to join its EDM team. This position is a hands-on test build /execution role. It is a highly technical position and will require strong knowledge of automation and more specifically testing of microservices based architectures. We are looking for individuals that can lead, provide thought leadership, work in an agile manner and are passionate about technology.
Responsibilities:
- Automation Test Development: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and/or API-based applications using tools like Selenium, WebI/O, Appium, or similar.
- Test Planning: Collaborate with developers and other QA engineers to design and implement efficient test plans and strategies for new features and updates.
- Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to support continuous testing and rapid delivery cycles.
- Bug Reporting & Defect Tracking: Identify, record, and track defects found during testing, ensuring they are resolved promptly by development teams.
- Test Execution & Maintenance: Execute automated test cases and update them to reflect changes in the application functionality. Ensure test scripts remain up-to-date and reliable.
- Collaboration: Work with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage is comprehensive.
- Reporting: Provide clear test reports and progress updates, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Performance Testing: Occasionally assist in performance testing and other specialized testing efforts as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3+ years focused on test automation.
- Automation Tools: Proficient in at least one automation tool (Selenium, WebIO, Appium, or similar).
- Programming/Scripting Languages: Strong experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Test Frameworks: Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Mocha, etc.).
- Version Control: Familiar with version control systems such as Git.
- Agile/Scrum: Experience working in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Web & API Testing: Strong understanding of web application testing, REST API testing, and using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
- Bug Tracking Tools: Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
- CI/CD: Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and communicate test results and issues.
- Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
- Desktop Product Testing: Experience with Desktop product automation frameworks like WinAppDriver, Robot etc.
- Cloud Testing: Experience with cloud-based test environments or tools like AWS Device Farm, Sauce Labs, etc.
- Performance Testing: Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
- Test Reporting Tools: Experience with tools like Allure or TestRail for test reporting and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields.
- Ability to work well in a team environment following Agile software development principles.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task.
- High energy and a self-starter.
- Preference will be given to candidates that have experience working with Microservices or distributed systems.
- Expert on data management technologies (RMDBS, NoSQL)
- Good background on leveraging cloud technologies
- Focus on Microsoft stack, but knowledgeable on cross-platform tech.
- Ability to deliver products in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
