What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
The Accessory and Special Vehicles Design Release Engineer position will be responsible for translate costumer (dealer or fleet sales) related necessities into car applied solutions which will be released to be installed by OEM plant, dealers or up fitters.
The accessory and Special Vehicle Design release engineer will be responsible for release its product on time, meeting cost, assembly and quality requirements.
This role requires a balanced mix of great technical engineering and leadership skills, where you will have a high level of responsibility for program delivery and communication level to all levels of leadership within the company.
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or Automotive Engineering.
CREA valid registration.
Fluency in speaking, reading and writing in English language.
Experience in mechanical, electrical, electronic or mechatronic product in automotive engineering.
Ability to design and release parts (as per OEM process);
Basic knowledge of OEM design softwares (eg.: Unigraphics/VisMockup).
Knowledge of the market available related simulation tools for plastic/stamped parts design (eg.: Moldflow).
Familiar to ideas generation tools such as Design Thinking and Brainstorming.
Desirable knowledge in reading and interpretation of wiring and electrical circuits drawings.
Desirable knowledge on electronics modules integration with OEM electronic architecture.
Desirable basic understanding of LED illumination optics principles and functioning.
Evaluate competition and execute a benchmark including supplier information.
Basic understanding of validation processes.
Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of electrical and electronic circuits.
Analytical ability to solve problems.
Demonstrated proficiency in project management skills.
Effective interpersonal skills that focus and influence others in any different organization level.
This position requires you to be able to legally operate & drive a motor vehicle.

Ability to develop or adapt exterior, interior, chassis and electronics automotive components.
Passion for vehicle design and performance aiming innovative solutions.
High expertise on Design Thinking application.
Experience in the GM/OEM component specification and release process.
DFSS Black Belt certification.
