To join our team as an Energy Engineer Lead, C&I Programs! You will support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs by providing engineering calculations, field assessments, customer interactions, measurement and verification, and utility program technical design and assistance. You will lead engineering efforts on program design, technical strategies, analysis to inform and recommend energy savings, and EM&V interactions. You will also general project oversight, quality control/assurance, and continuously inform customers and project teams of updates and necessary adjustments. You will also support new business development efforts and proactively seek new project opportunities.

Calculate energy savings for projects in our programs using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, fan laws, thermodynamics, algebra, and statistics

Perform and lead complex technical work in our programs, independently and with minimal technical supervision.

Identify, lead, and qualify all projects in energy efficiency programs (including custom projects, M&V projects, and innovative technology pilots)

Oversee the development of calculators and measure configurations within the central database

Perform ASHRAE audits of ALL levels at large commercial and industrial facilities, identifying any required equipment and/or assistance depending on the needs for the facility.

Author IPMVP compliant plans and reports and review those of others

Provide technical advice to staff across multiple large-scale programs

Provide technical guidance and training to our program teams related to subject matter expertise (esp. custom/M&V projects)

Act as a subject matter expert in at least two significant technical areas

Author work papers for new energy efficiency measures, with minimal technical review or oversight

Oversee technical feedback related to filings, utility commission documents, and program evaluations; provide formal recommendations to program staff

Develop project scopes, with oversight from engineering management

Work with clients and evaluators on project-specific issues
