About the Role (your why)
The Endpoint Engineering team assists companies by supporting their environments day to day and recommending best practices to follow and implement. The team designs, builds, supports, and continuously improves end user solutions end to end, enabling our customers to transform their business and modernise their end user experience.
The Endpoint Engineering Operations Manager is responsible for leading a team of Endpoint Engineering Specialists within the Intelligent Workspace group to ensure best practice support methodologies are executed, technical experience leveraged and to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Our offices are based in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!
What you’ll do
At the moment, as Endpoint Engineering - Operations Manager you will be focused on:
- Provide technical leadership for major incidents within the SOE remit.
- Validate and assist in the maintenance of the client’s risk and issues registers.
- Provide governance to all implementations and changes affecting the end user SOE environment.
- Assist with and drive the identification and implementation of shift left initiatives.
- Identify improvements/project opportunities within new accounts and/or contribute to the Service Improvement register for existing clients.
- Ensure project design principals result in service improvements, efficiencies and/or cost reductions for the customer/Datacom post implementation.

What you’ll bring
Required experience:
- Comprehensive understanding of supporting customers across an outsourced delivery environment.
- Knowledge of Hardware and Software Vendors support processes, including product Lifecycles.
- Advanced End User management knowledge
- Modern and traditional End Point Device Management Solutions (SCCM, Intune, AutoPilot, and other MDM/endpoint management solutions).
- Microsoft Operating System Configuration & Deployment (Win7- Win11)
- Collaboration Platforms (Teams, Skype for Business, Planner).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both a technical and non-technical format
- Ability to operate under limited direction
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent delegation skills clearly outlining expectations and accountability
- Ability to interface with all levels of management both internal and external.
- Ability to build a cohesive team.
Nice to have:
- Intermediate Level Project Management principles, and/or Project Management.
- Ability to work with customers to conduct discovery tasks to support project engagements.
- M365 Stack exposure including AOVPN
- AWS Workspace and Azure Virtual Desktop experience
- Apple OS support and project experience
- ITIL Certifications
