Job Description
Summary
The purpose of the role is to manage the end-to-end NZ transport network from a strategic and operational perspective. This includes managing all stock movement from locations such as NZ Manufacturing sites, Co-Pack facility's, 3PL and KHC operated warehouses.
This role can be located in either Newmarket, Auckland or Tomoana, Hawke's Bay.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost monitoring of the entire NZ transport network.
- Drive continuous improvement across both service, cost and efficiency.
- Manage all transport service providers to meet KHC SLA's & targets through day-to-day activity performance management and reviews.
- Execution of all Transport Management processes, Transport fulfillment and Carrier performance reporting.
- Partner with the broader ANZ Transport Team, Warehouse Team, Supply Planning Team & Customer Service teams.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including safety, security, and environmental requirements.
- Participate in activities relating to the procurement of Transport services.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics or inventory related field
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills - specifically in Excel
- Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in similar role or logistics role in a FMCG environment
- Previous experience working with BPCS or other Inventory Management Systems
- Physical & financial planning & forecasting skills
- Strong strategic analysis and decision making
- Sound process improvement experience
- Knowledgeable about various Transport processes. (Rail, Road, Sea, Air)
