This position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  All applicants must be eligible, or able to obtain authorization, for such access.

Position Summary

Thales is looking for an Embedded Technical Consultant  who will manage the technical relation with customers of Thales embedded products like eUICC and eSE, and associated solutions.

The embedded Technical Consultant will also manage all technical aspects of the eUICC/eSE industrialization and supply process, by coordinating communications between development and manufacturing teams inside Thales and different areas of the customer and taking some project management responsibilities.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for working closely with the regional sales team, and be responsible for technical presentations and pre-sales support.

  • Responsible for promoting the Thales Connectivity & Embedded Solutions portfolio to customers (mostly MNOs, OEMs and IoT players).

  • Must understand the customer’s technical requirements and be able to identify possible solutions, based on Thales’s product map.

  • Responsible for coordinating technical communication between Thales Product Teams and customers.

  • Must follow-up on incoming customer requirements and feature requests, communicating to all related interface partners.

  • Responsible for coordinating technical support and tests with customers and different teams inside Thales.

  • Responsible for raising failure reports, identify a solution or workaround, and internally report defects according to established processes, if needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Telecom or related technical field

  • At Least 5 years of experience as Technical Account Manager, Technical Product Manager, or similar technical customer facing role.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably working with Smartcard, Embedded Software or Services providers.

  • Prior working experience on standards and specifications like ETSI, 3GPP, Global Platform, GSMA and TCA

  • Working knowledge of Digital Security: symmetric and asymmetric (PKI) cryptography, telecom security algorithms

  • Demonstrated experience writing technical specifications and identifying solutions based on customer requirements.

Special Position Requirements

Schedule: Core Business Hours Monday-Friday, Hybrid in office 3 days

Travel: Estimated required travel approximately once per quarter domestically to customers/ clients as needed. As well as international seminars/ trainings every few years.
