Description:
The e-Data Analyst will provide technical litigation support to eDiscovery Paralegals, Attorneys, Paralegals and, as required, clients. The position is responsible for handling client data in accordance with proper chain of custody protocols in a way that ensures all media is tracked and stored in accordance with firm procedures.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Coordination with ediscovery paralegals to design databases and establish workflows to support efficient document reviews and search and retrieval.
- Generation of reports and performance of quality control on document productions from our in-house Relativity databases.
- Process electronic material in ecapture.
- Provide assistance to legal teams with Relativity, livenote, casenotebook, and Trial Director, in coordination with the ediscovery Paralegal.
- Perform data loads into supported litigation systems as appropriate.
- Monitor changes in the litigation support software industry.
- Maintain confidentiality on all matters.
- Keep accurate time records.
- Preparation of material for in-house and outside distribution.
- Special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Expertise in litigation support or litigation Paralegal background with strong technical skills.
- Technical expertise in the creation, organization, and maintenance of large databases.
- Assist in full-cycle electronic case data from inception to trial or case closing.
- Analyze a problem or project quickly and accurately, and work with the eDiscovery paralegal to implement solutions.
- Ability to work as part of a team to manage and track discovery data.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Solid technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of business information systems and fluency in standard MS Office applications.
- Ability to quickly master new litigation software.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 year experience in a law firm or eDiscovery vendor environment.
- Certifications or equivalent on-the-job experience with Relativity, LiveNote, CaseNotebook, and Trial Director.
The base salary range for this position in Washington, D.C is $44.10/hr - $66.20/hr. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience. In addition to the base compensation, Holland & Knight provides bonus opportunities and an exceptional benefits package.
