The Role:
As the Director, Websites, you will be responsible for creating engaging and high converting web experiences by overseeing the strategy, roadmap and optimization of Personio's multi-language websites - the shop windows of our company.
You will devise and lead a strategy that requires ongoing XFN collaboration to ensure a cohesive and impactful online presence that supports the company's overall marketing and growth objectives.
Beyond strategy, you will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and empowering a talented web team, ensuring they have the guidance and resources needed to achieve outstanding results. Your leadership will be instrumental in building a high-performing team that consistently raises the bar for web experiences at Personio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a holistic web strategy that aligns with Personio's brand, marketing, business goals and regional growth priorities
- Manage and motivate a diverse team of skilled web managers, developers and web analysts as well as freelancers and agencies when required
- Create a web experience with best in class UX for new and returning visitors.
- Efficiently manage and utilise the web budget
- Achieve top organic search positions for high value/competition keywords and create and manage an ongoing SEO roadmap
- CRO - conversion optimisation by developing a best in class CRO framework and sprint cycle, partnering with the wider marketing team to gather and prioritise requests that will continue to optimise on-page conversion across all sites
- Ensure the website is technically best in class, scalable, and optimized for performance
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, technologies, and impact of AI to continually enhance the website's effectiveness
- Provide regular reporting and insights on key metrics and build a clear visualization of user journeys
- Cross functional senior stakeholder management across the business
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in a Web Director role, preferably in a B2B SaaS
- Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing B2B websites to drive business results (Engagement, Pipeline, Revenue, User Acquisition)
- Experience of hiring, leading and developing high performing web teams spanning design, technical and operational functions
- Excellent understanding of web design principles, user experience, and Content Management Systems
- Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, MixPanel) and A/B testing tools
- Fluency in English, in addition German language would be great
- Experience in the HR software category, PLG strategies or personalization strategies would be a huge bonus but is not essential
