Overview of the role:
Reporting directly to the Head of Tech Product Management, the Director, Warehousing Technologies will be responsible for developing the company's technology platforms used in stations to receive, sort, containerize and ship packages. In this role, you will be expected to collaborate effectively with stakeholders outside of IT (mostly from Operations), guide complex technology projects, and manage & develop a team of analysts, product owners and product managers.
Key Responsibilities :
• Provide product vision and define strategic roadmap and execution for assigned products;
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, partners, and customers in multiple areas of Intelcom's organization to meet enterprise needs;
• Coordinate with senior leadership across the organization to provide guidance on the warehouse technologies roadmap and define upcoming priorities;
• Participate in quarterly planning sessions to define initiatives, resolve dependencies and perform data-driven prioritization in an agile environment.
• Lead and report on CAPEX-heavy initiatives and guide overall company resource allocation based on a business case approach;
• Provide strong thought leadership on current and other emerging technologies;
• Responsible to identify and investigate collaborations opportunities and industry trends;
• Oversee the capture, categorization and prioritization of key requests to maintain a healthy portfolio backlog;
• Lead and guide assigned cross-disciplinary software development teams to ensure we are building the best products;
• Design, develop and deploy policies, procedures, and standards for the use of all technology software related to the business needs
• Act as a trusted SME on complex product design decisions and technical orientations
• Act as a leader within the wider IT Product Management team and support the growth of the practice via team building activities, knowledge sharing, mentoring, etc.
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent practical experience;
• 10+ years product management and passion to solve user problems;
• Certified as Scrum Master or PMP;
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and automated sorting technologies
• Experience in the Logistics Sector
• Experience with key product management, agile development principles;
• Experience delivering finely-tuned product strategies;
• Strong understanding of modern development practices and planning processes;
• Exceptional organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Demonstrated ability to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities;
• Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment;
• Demonstrated ability to analyze market data to develop sales strategies, and define product objectives;
• Demonstrated ability to document product strategies that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI;
• Strong leadership presence with ability to vision set and manage through influence.
