What you’ll be doing 

 
As part of the venue solutions team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and leading an effective regional Technical Solutions engineering team that will work collaboratively with multiple business units and levels across the organization to deploy in-building DAS networks. It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be involved with: 

  • Create partnerships and alliances with venues, carriers, OEMs, and integrators utilizing consultative and solutions-based sales strategies to help achieve sales targets 

  • Support Sales team with technical responses to RFPs, RFQs, and/or RFIs. 

  • Provide superior level of pre-sales technical support for DAS and Wi-Fi packages, supporting more than 20 active projectsProvide solutions support for large portfolios. 

  • Liaise with internal and external customers to collaborate on product development, design implementation, technology assessments, strategy presentations, pricing/cost structures. 

  • Accelerate deal flow by establishing and managing project scope, design requirements, carrier relationships, vendor selection, and integrator/OEM deliverables. 

  • Provide sales support for multi-lateral sales team; assist in qualifying leads, identifying technical competitive advantages/differentiators, building relationships, and closing sales 

  • Coordinate with Venue and Carriers to acquire and review venue requirements, floor plans, and carrier design requirements. 

  • Assist Deployment in establishment of Engineering budget for venue projects. Support Finance in financial analyses of different Solution options. 

  • Solicit and manage Benchmark data collection, provide analysis and summary reports of results 

  • Coordinate site design walks with Venue and Carriers. Conduct internal and external solution design reviews with Deployment, Venue and Carriers. Manage the overall design progress and provide final approval of design and solution.  

  • Coordinate with Deployment and Finance and manage carrier relationships through design and pricing revisions to obtain final carrier approval.  

  • Provide other supporting documentation to Sales such as Technical Lease Exhibits and equipment specifications.  

  • Develop and refine Solutions and Engineering processes and standards. 

  • Coach and mentor sales representatives on technical products, research and design concepts. Provide product information, demonstrations and presentations for all sales venue products. 

  • Manage complex, multi-dimensional projects that encompass numerous types of technical solutions.  

  • Engage with OEMs and Carriers in evaluating emerging technologies such as LAA and CBRS and their impact on existing and future portfolios 

 

What you’ll bring 

Think you could make a difference here? We’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about the welfare of our team. You’ll want to make an impact from day one. With big ideas about how to improve our technical solutions, you will also have some of the following: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required from accredited university; EE preferred. 

  • Minimum of 6-9 years' experience in wireless telecommunications engineering, design and development, with an emphasis on selling into various markets. Minimum of 5 years DAS experience required. 

  • Superior organizational skills with a strong initiative to lead customer sales presentations with consistent follow through until deal close. 

  • Excellent closing skills with the innate ability to overcome objections and obstacles throughout the sales process. 

  • Completed solution design experience with at least 4 different OEM’s (Commscope, Corning, SOLiD, and Teko/JMA preferred).  

  • Demonstrated design experience with a wide variety of solutions such as DRAN, CRAN, oDAS, and fiber-to-the edge platforms.  

  • Demonstrated solution design experience with stadiums, arenas, performing arts venues, casinos/hospitality, transportation, commercial and residential high rises, and retail locations. 

  • Experience with DAS and other wireless solutions deployment and integration preferred.  

  • Strong account relationship skills, creative, driven & self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and with a team. 

  • Skilled negotiator including the ability to take direction or resolve issues independently. 

  • Innate ability to prioritize, qualify and manage business opportunities to achieve sales targets. 

  • Travel required up to 40% domestically.
