The Director of Strategy, Content is a pivotal leadership role responsible for defining and executing a transformational business strategy that evolves our Adobe Stock, Express and Firefly content strategy for the AI era. This leader will drive a multi-year strategic vision that balances innovation with foundational business principles, ensuring that our content strategy remains relevant, scalable, and aligned with emerging market opportunities.
We seek a strategic leader with a proven track record of leading large-scale business transformations, ideally within digital media and content, but most critically, with the ability to architect and implement a future-focused content strategy. This individual must bridge established content methodologies with AI-driven opportunities, while maintaining business viability.
This role requires a data-driven, pragmatic, and forward-thinking problem solver who thrives in dynamic and evolving environments, excels in stakeholder communication, and has a strong track record of mentoring and leading high-performing teams. The Director will oversee a team of 20-25, working closely across the organization to align content strategies with Adobe-wide objectives. This position will play a key role in executive communications, ensuring alignment with broader business planning processes.
What you'll Do

Define and drive a multi-year content transformation strategy that aligns with business goals and positions the company for success in an AI-driven future.

Lead high-impact critical initiatives, including content diversification, business model evolution, and the adoption of AI-driven content approaches.

Identify and develop new business opportunities by assessing content expansion strategies, licensing, partnerships, and production models.

Develop and implement innovative content sourcing strategies that provide a valuable and sustainable supply of diverse content for global customer needs.

Establish and track key business impact metrics, ensuring that content initiatives deliver measurable outcomes.

Shape content strategy for customer-facing platforms, marketing initiatives, and enterprise client engagements, ensuring relevance and user engagement.

Lead initiatives to create earning opportunities within a creator network, including innovative crowdsourcing engagements.

Lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
What you need to succeed

10+ years of leadership experience in business transformation, digital media, or content strategy, with a proven ability to define and execute large-scale strategic initiatives.

Proven experience in building and executing transformational business strategies, particularly in evolving both established and new businesses for new paradigms (AI, digital media, etc.).

Strong analytical mindset with expertise in operational analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Ability to identify and drive new growth opportunities through innovative content sourcing, licensing, and acquisition strategies.

Deep understanding of digital content ecosystems, including images, video, 3D, and audio, with expertise in balancing creative and commercial considerations.

Experience integrating technology into content strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals while maintaining creative and ethical standards.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring teams, fostering innovation, and driving organizational change.

Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive leadership.

The U.S. pay range for this position is $178,900 -- $310,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
