Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to join our dynamic Pre-Sales team. Yellowbrick is a fast-growing start up, changing the way that information is used to support business decisions. This role will manage a team of Sales Engineers in support of sales to achieve revenue targets and ensure customer success. The right candidate will take the lead technical role supporting sales activities, actively engaging with customers and helping to create opportunities. The Director of Sales Engineering will be hands-on, ensuring alignment between field sales and other organizations within the company. 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead a team of Sales Engineers working to ensure sales and customer success
  • Ensure your team can tie technical features to business benefits (using MEDDPICC is a distinct advantage)
  • Engage directly with Pre-Sales and Sales Leadership to collaborate on their opportunities 
  • Ensure that your team is enabled to support Yellowbrick products and solutions
  • Work closely with field leadership to develop strategic and technical account plans
  • Interact with customers and prospects to understand their business challenges
  • Identify and scope new opportunities and follow engagements to ensure customer success
  • Provide Sales Engineers with regular coaching and continual development feedback
  • Work cross functionally with sales, product management, engineering, and other organizations to ensure alignment with the field, provide process and product feedback, and resolve critical customer situations
  • Deliver presentations and technical briefings to customers on Yellowbrick products and solutions.
  • Assist and manage Yellowbrick POC’s 

Qualifications 

  • At least 6+ years’ experience in technically selling and supporting software products to IT organizations
  • At least 2+ years’ related SE/SA Management experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Experience and familiarity with Yellowbrick and the data warehouse space
  • Domain expertise with IT Operations, Application Management, and/or Security/Compliance is desirable
  • Experience with networking, server, application, virtualization, big data, and web technologies
  • Able to travel up to 50%
  • BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
