The Director of Product Operations will help drive the successful execution and measurement of our strategic Product Management initiatives. Your mission will be to enable our cross-functional team of Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to operate as effectively as possible.

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to develop, facilitate, and oversee sound operational processes and program management practices in support of the Products organization. This is a leadership role, and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record partnering with and influencing executives, managing complex programs, strategic and tactical execution of operational processes, and strong working knowledge of software development lifecycles.

What will you do? 

  • Program Manage Strategic initiatives:
    • Annual Product Strategy and Roadmap Process:  In partnership with the CPO, lead the annual product strategy and roadmap process, partner with PM leads to define and operationalize notable portfolio changes including migrations, accelerated shifts to SaaS, product modernizations, etc. 
    • KPI Management: In partnership with BU product ops leads, define and track all product KPI with reporting for QBRs, company town halls, team and individual/team goal planning.
    • Acquisition Integration: Assist in the execution of business initiatives during newly acquired company integration/transition period. This includes leading the new team as they map their desired GTM structure into the insightsoftware portfolio and product master. Product Operations also ensures new product team members are onboarded and set up for success.
    • Annual Price Increase Strategy: In strong collaboration with Product Leadership and PS, program manage the annual process for an list price increases, maintenance increases or PS rate changes. Capture all recommended changes, the data driven rationale associated and then run full organization plan ensuring the systems, ISW employees, our partners and most importantly our customers are aware of any changes and the why associated. 
    • Voice of Customer Processes: In partnership with Product Ops leaders across the ISW business units, define and ensure best practices are employed for robust customer and partner engagement including, Customer Advisory Board and/or Partner Advisory Boards. Own the basic use of Aha! on our innovations portal which helps Product collect internal and external product feedback throughout the year. 
  • Own Product Management Tools and Operational Processes:
    • Run point for product management tools and the process associated including adoption of Aha! for roadmap creation and management, Jira integration, automating how we report on releases.
    • Run onboarding program for all product new hires, including newly acquired companies. New hire program lays the foundation for managing a product at insightsoftware including tools to be used, data sources to manage product performance and our business cadence for leading each product line (i.e., QBRs, Retention reviews, cross functional meetings, etc.).
  • Define and Drive Product Launch Best Practices: Lead a small, cross functional program management team responsible for the organizational readiness function for ISW. This includes:
    • Own and improve the current organizational readiness process and framework, ensure the product delivery is tightly coordinated with go-to-market activities such as pricing & packaging, sales & marketing activities and collateral all leading to achievement of product growth targets. Process should certify that all functional areas are ready with the associated sign off.
    • Identify and track all Tier 1 and 2 product launches ensuring org readiness process is followed. This may include acting as the primary program manager for a critical initiative.

Qualifications

Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate: 

  • Cross-functional leadership – proven ability to lead and drive project execution across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Support, and Customer Success 
  • Drive and grit – operate in a fast-paced environment with a focus and determination to achieve high-quality results 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Information Systems, Communication or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of Product Management and/or operational experience in a top software company or innovative technology startup (or equivalent experience)
  • Has expertise working with a cloud-based, software-as-a-service products and platform
  • Natural curiosity and solutions-oriented mindset that leads to proactively coming to the table with creative solutions 
  • Strong leadership skills; able to lead, develop, and manage a growing team of people 
  • Strong presentation skills combined with the ability to present data in a way that is persuasive to all audiences 
  • Mix of analytical mindset, technical abilities, business acumen, and personal drive 
  • Excellent communications and influencing skills - able to manage up or down in the organization 
  • Strong background working at an established global company supporting a dispersed team of Product Team Members 
  • Excellent coaching and teamwork skills with experience managing product managers

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency working with product roadmap software (Aha!) and CRM data (Salesforce) 
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adjust to changes in project priorities 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
