SUMMARY:
The Director of Product and Field Marketing is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns that enhance product visibility, field engagement, and overall business growth on behalf of our sales teams to Motion customers. This individual will oversee the alignment of product marketing initiatives with field sales efforts, ensuring a seamless connection between account-based marketing strategies and product marketing. The Director will work closely with key stakeholders, including Field Sales, Product Management, Industry Segments, Corporate Accounts, Digital Marketing, Procurement, and Supplier Partners to deliver impactful programs that drive customer engagement, sales growth, and profitability. The Director will lead both the Product Marketing team as well as the Field Marketing Management team.
JOB DUTIES
- Manages the development and execution of comprehensive product and field marketing strategies that align with Motion’s overall business objectives.
- Leads the creation and implementation of marketing programs and campaigns that support product launches, sales initiatives, and customer engagement.
- Builds and nurtures strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring alignment on marketing strategies and joint initiatives.
- Partners with Field Sales teams to design and deliver marketing programs that address customer needs and drive regional sales growth.
- Analyzes market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to inform marketing strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Tracks and reports on the effectiveness and ROI of marketing programs, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and improve performance.
- Leads efforts to align product marketing strategies with field-level execution, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all regions.
- Supports the development of sales enablement tools, resources, and training to empower Field Sales teams.
- Provides leadership and guidance to the marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Manages data requests in support of business processes, new product sales initiatives, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, marketing or a related field, and ten (10) or more years of field sales plus marketing/ecommerce related experience or an equivalent combination.

- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that drive revenue and business growth.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
