Director of Power


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Power to lead our Power Business Unit. Since acquiring COR-e, a leader in European power market data, Kpler has expanded its insights into energy and power trends. This allows us to offer even more valuable intelligence across industries, empowering clients with precise market analysis.


This role requires someone with a deep understanding of the market, who can blend technical expertise with strategic vision to drive business growth and scale. You’ll not only be responsible for delivering commercial success but also for shaping and executing strategies that position Kpler at the forefront of the energy transition. As a leader with strong commercial acumen, you will guide a talented team, optimize resources, and play a pivotal role in influencing both internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to identify market trends, innovate solutions, and drive performance will be key to accelerating our success in the rapidly evolving Power sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the success of the European power markets with full P&L responsibility, leveraging power data to drive growth while overseeing pre-sales and managing a team of market analysts to ensure high-quality data delivery and exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to help define and drive the product roadmap, ensuring seamless integration across teams and driving innovative solutions that align with market needs to advance commercial growth.
  • Act as an influencer in the Power space, leveraging an established industry persona to identify key trends, emerging opportunities, and product innovations that go beyond traditional market expertise.
  • Guide and develop a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and continued commercial growth.
  • Help develop and implement a marketing strategy, providing insights for product commercialization and contributing to overall success in the Power sector and build detailed personas and gain a deep understanding of key markets to inform sales and marketing efforts, optimizing internal and external resources to meet strategic goals.
  • Build and maintain strong industry relationships by actively participating in networking opportunities, attending key industry events, and presenting insights and solutions in client briefings, conferences, and seminars to elevate market presence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the Power or energy transition sectors.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience, including overseeing teams, driving projects, and mentoring within the power or energy transition sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience. in building analytical models for power markets (e.g., supply & demand, pricing, risk management).
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to work with complex data and databases to identify trends and inform decisions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a self-starter attitude.
  • Effective at problem-solving and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • A collaborative team player, quick learner, and comfortable working with tight deadlines on multiple tasks.
  • Skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English.
