The Director of Infrastructure is a fully remote position over the Infrastructure Engineering Team at C^RET, reporting to the SVP Cloud Engineering and Technology. This position owns the success of the Cloud Hosting environment for C^RET’s loyal customer base. The person manages and participates hands on with the team for all aspects related to the day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure Engineering Dept. With the SVP they will own, create, and deliver department goals that encompass the “High Availability”, “Scalability” of services that support our customers. The Director will work directly with department leaders to continually improve C^RET’s Cloud Hosting environment while striking a balance between business needs, risk, and security requirements.  

  

The Director of Infrastructure must be able to effectively lead the Infrastructure Engineering team with strong and demonstrated aptitude for datacenter (network, compute, storage) infrastructure, windows administration, availability, and automation.  Supported by extensive and diverse experience in leading high-profile technical programs and projects. Responsibilities to manage a team of Infrastructure Engineers with in-depth domain knowledge of Datacenters, Virtualization, Windows, and  Automation. 

Requirements
  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure Engineering department. 
  • Plan, execute, and deliver service improvements for CARET's private cloud clients. 
  • Partner closely with security, provisioning, and support departments to address customer issues while reducing workload. 
  • Manage and balance tactical and strategic initiatives. 
  • Build and support a high functioning team. 
  • Improve, design, and test disaster recovery and business continuity processes. 
  • Manage budget for CARET’s private overseeing and reporting on costs. 



Requirement Skills / Abilities: 

  • Minimum 5+ years in a Manager Role over Infrastructure or Datacenter team with experience in growing individuals. 
  • Minimum 10+ years of continuous experience in Infrastructure Engineering. 
  • Deep technical knowledge of Datacenter HA architecture, infrastructure, servers, storage, switches, firewalls, load balancers. 
  • Expert in Virtualization architecture and experience running large scale Hyper-V environments serving MSP style windows RDP environments. 
  • Expert in Windows Server management, Active Directory domain and user management at scale, patch management, and  
  • Experience in Automation with regards to hardware, virtualization, server, user, patch management. 
  • Experience with Powershell, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code. 
  • Strong management skills in delivering results and building relationships. 
  • Strong organization and leadership skills with the ability to facilitate technical sessions and perform mentoring for team members. 
  • Capable of communicating complex technical information to a non-technical audience and of communicating structured process requirements to a technical audience. 
  • Bachelors or equivalent experience.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with job posting disclosure requirements.

Pay range: $170,000-$180,000. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operations business needs.

Depending on the position, compensation may also include commission, bonuses, etc. Potential for bonuses is based on company performance and potential for merit increases is based on performance.
