Director of Finance – Multi-Entity Management

The Director of Finance oversees the financial operations across multiple entities. This role provides financial leadership, ensuring strong financial planning, analysis, and reporting while directly managing the accountant and supporting the executive team.

The ideal candidate has hospitality or restaurant industry experience, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. This individual will work closely with the CEO to ensure financial objectives align with business goals.

This is a Hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Leadership:

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple restaurant/hospitality entities.
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and best practices.
  • Ensure financial strategies support business growth and operational needs.

Accounting & Reporting:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and P&L reports for each entity.
  • Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are properly documented and supported.
  • Maintain cash flow management, working capital, and financial controls.
  • Ensure timely and accurate owner relations and owner reporting.

Audit, Tax, & Compliance:

  • Monitor all applicable tax regulations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax requirements.
  • Ensure audit and control procedures are in place and adhered to.
  • Manage financial risk, compliance, and regulatory reporting.

Financial Analysis & Operational Support:

  • Provide ongoing financial analysis, including monitoring revenue and expense trends, cost control measures, and profitability analysis.
  • Ensure accurate cost allocation and revenue recognition.
  • Conduct ROI analysis for capital expenditures and new initiatives.
  • Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong financial planning, finance, and financial reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Ability to work across multiple entities and manage financial operations for complex businesses.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of financial controls, tax compliance, and audit processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and operational leadership.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
