Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership & Execution

    • Guide the design, development, and maintenance of low-latency distributed systems to ensure high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
    • Collaborate with other engineering leads, principal ICs, and cross-functional teams to define and execute the technical roadmap.
    • Drive best practices in software development, architecture, and operations.
  • Team & People Management
    • Mentor, coach, and develop engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
    • Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and set clear career development paths for team members.
    • Recruit as needed new members to the team.
    • Champion a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and psychological safety within the team.
  • Strategic Planning & Innovation
    • Align engineering goals with business objectives, ensuring efficient resource allocation and prioritization.
    • Drive process improvements and engineering excellence initiatives across the Website Monitoring pillar.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the platform.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
    • Work closely with Product, Platform Engineering, and other Engineering teams to ensure seamless execution of product initiatives.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to define long-term technical and strategic goals.
    • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Who You Are:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in an engineering leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
  • Strong expertise in PHP 8, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, MySQL, Redis, and other distributed systems technologies.
  • Deep understanding of modern software development practices, including agile methodologies, CI/CD, and DevOps.
  • Experience designing and maintaining low-latency, high-availability systems.
  • Strong understanding of HTTP protocols, bare metal and cloud-based infrastructures (AWS preferred), and microservices architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven, results-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills – able to articulate technical solutions to both engineers and business stakeholders.
  • Passionate about SEO technologies, web monitoring, and driving innovation in the space.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
  • Prior experience in SaaS or SEO-related technologies.
  • Familiarity with PHPStan or Psalm for static analysis.
  • AWS experience is a plus.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a critical engineering pillar at Conductor, shape the future of web monitoring technology, and work with cutting-edge distributed systems at scale.
