About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a strategic function at one of the fastest-growing companies in the data industry! In this position, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing our customer marketing strategy that drives customer retention, loyalty, expansion, and advocacy. You will work cross-functionally to create targeted programs that nurture relationships and amplify customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will play a key role in positioning customers as Starburst champions and leverage their success stories to build credibility and attract new customers.

As a Director, Customer Marketing at Starburst, you will: 

  • Develop, plan, and execute a customer marketing strategy aimed at enhancing customer retention, expansion, and customer advocacy.
  • Align the customer marketing strategy with the overall company goals and objectives.
  • Regularly monitor customer health and satisfaction to proactively identify and address issues before they impact retention. 
  • Work collaboratively with the broader GTM team to identify and leverage on cross-sell and upsell opportunities based on customer needs and product usage.

Some of the things we look for:

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B software with 5+ years of experience leading customer marketing, Data and AI experience a plus.
  • Track record of developing and executing successful customer marketing strategies and programs that drive business growth.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • You deeply understand (and use) data to make better decisions and improve performance
  • Experience working for start-ups and scale-ups
  • Experience in the data management space

  • Anywhere in US 

Starburst is dedicated to maintaining fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range provided for this role reflects the minimum and maximum targets for candidates across all U.S. locations and could be inclusive of variable compensation, such as commission or bonus. All employees receive equity packages (ISOs) and have access to a comprehensive benefits offering. Actual compensation packages are determined based on relevant skills, experience, education and training, and specific work location. $176,000$220,000 USD
