Summary Generated by Built In

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists/professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

As a key member of a cross-functional Translational Sciences Team, you will report to Senior Director and Head of Translational Sciences within Translational Research and will:

Lead a team of preclinical scientists to conduct forward and reverse translational research for our portfolio of RAS(ON) inhibitors. Collaborate with members of Biology, Clinical and Translational Medicine to generate and/or interrogate internal and external clinical and/or preclinical data sets and identify candidate biomarkers of response and resistance. Use insights to inform clinical development strategies, including patient selection and combinations.

Collaborate with TM and clinical colleagues to implement candidate biomarkers into Translational Biomarker plans for RVMD RAS(ON) inhibitors in alignment with overarching clinical development strategies.

Evolve technical competencies of biomarker sciences group, identify and validate new technologies and/or capabilities. Accelerate integration of mining of large scale preclinical and clinical datasets into our translational research strategies and, in association with broader digital data transformation initiatives within Research, drive the organization and harmonization of large biomarker datasets.

  • Implement translational research strategies for RAS-driven diseases. Identify and validate candidate biomarkers. Collaborate with colleagues in Translational Medicine and Clinical Development to drive transition of these candidate biomarkers to Translational Biomarker Plan implementation in RevMed trials.
  • Supervise a team of Translational Scientists and biologists and deploy team resources across RevMed projects.
  • Leverage strong cross-functional skills and engage in collaborative leadership across forums, project teams and working groups, performing forward and reverse translation efforts, exploring mechanisms of resistance and testing therapeutic and combination strategies.
  • Drive efforts to organize and harmonize large biomarker data sets across Translational Research, as part of a digital data transformation initiative. Accelerate integration of mining of large scale preclinical and clinical datasets into our translational research strategy.
  • Engage with external collaborations including academic center and CROs to drive execution of key projects and bring in new technologies.
