AlixPartners has embraced a hybrid work model to provide flexibility and support our employees’ work-life integration.  Our hybrid model combines a mix of in-person (at client site or AlixPartners office) and remote working. Travel is part of this position, but the frequency may vary based on client, team, and individual circumstances.

What you’ll do:

As a Director of AI Product Management, you will lead the discovery and prototyping of innovative AI and data-driven products, driving business growth and customer value from the ground up. This role demands a blend of strategic vision and technical expertise as you identify, validate, and rapidly iterate on high-impact opportunities, ensuring early concepts evolve into viable, scalable solutions. You will define product hypotheses, shape the initial roadmap, and leverage data-driven insights to prioritize and refine product direction.

Taking full ownership of early-stage product outcomes, you will drive seamless execution by overseeing the end-to-end prototyping lifecycle, leading cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, legal, and business stakeholders. With a focus on rapid experimentation and execution excellence, you will ensure that early product iterations lead to strong validation and successful handoff to scaling teams. Additionally, you will champion emerging technologies like AI/ML, foster a culture of continuous innovation, and inspire teams to transform new ideas into market-defining products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Product Discovery: Conduct customer research, market analysis, and prototype testing to identify and validate innovative product opportunities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Decision-Making Ownership: Leverage data-driven insights to evaluate ideas and make informed go/no-go recommendations, balancing technical feasibility and business value.

  • Commercial Focus and Market Insight: Continuously assess market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities and guide product strategy toward business outcomes, e.g. revenue growth and market differentiation.

  • Strategic Roadmap Planning: Define and prioritize features based on impact, feasibility, and user needs. Maintain a clear, actionable roadmap aligned with organizational goals and timelines.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, business product owners, legal and compliance, and business leaders to ensure alignment on product objectives and feasibility throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Leadership and Innovation: Provide guidance to product squads, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and advocating.

  • End-to-End Product Delivery: Oversee the entire product development process, including sprint planning, backlog management, and release coordination, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.

  • Performance Optimization: Define and track key performance metrics. Analyze data and user feedback to optimize product performance and drive iterative improvements.

What you’ll need

  • 10+ years of experience in technical product management or a related role, with a successful track record of delivering complex technical solutions to market.

  • At least 3 years of experience in developing and deploying (Gen) AI technologies

  • Strong technical background, with knowledge of software development methodologies, web technologies, and cloud platforms.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business outcomes and customer value.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.

  • Analytical mindset, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Experience with product analytics and user research is a plus.

  • Project management skills, including experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

  • Proven leadership skills, including inspiring and motivating cross-functional product squads towards a common goal.

  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related science field preferred.

The firm offers a comprehensive benefits program including health, vision, dental, disability, 401K, tuition reimbursement, identity theft protection, and mental wellness support. Employees will also receive a generous paid leave policy including vacation/personal time starting at 7.34 hours per pay period, sick time up to 80 hours annually, parental leave and twelve holidays.  

The salary range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $170,000/year - $400,000/year with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
